Terms of service

These terms cover your use of Meerkat, run by Meerkat. Using the service means you accept them.

What the service does

Meerkat drives AI personas through a website you choose, in a real browser, and writes a report on what they did: where they hesitated, where they would have left, and what a team might change. The personas are software. Their opinions are generated, not collected from people.

What you may test

You may point Meerkat only at a site you own, operate, or are authorised to test. Personas take real actions: they fill forms, create accounts, and click buttons that may charge money or send email. You are responsible for everything they do on a site you point them at, so test on staging wherever an action cannot be undone.

You may not use the service to test a site belonging to someone else without permission, to attack, overload, or evade the protections of any site, to collect personal data about the people who use a site, or to break any law that applies to you.

Your account

Keep your sign-in details to yourself and tell us if you think someone else has them. You are responsible for what happens under your account and for the members you invite to your workspace. You may delete your account at any time, and we may suspend an account that breaks these terms or puts the service at risk.

Your content, and ours

What you put in stays yours: the URLs you test, the tasks you write, the screenshots captured during a run, and the reports produced from them. You give us permission to process that material only to run the service for you, which includes sending screenshots and page text to the model providers listed in the privacy policy. We do not use your content to train models. The software, the interface, and the persona designs remain ours.

What the reports are, and are not

A report is evidence and opinion from simulated users. It is not a guarantee that a flow works, not a substitute for research with real customers, and not professional advice. Findings can be wrong, missed, or repeated. Decide what to act on.

Availability and changes

The service is provided as it is, without a service-level guarantee. We may change or withdraw features, and we will note anything material in the changelog. If we change these terms, the date at the top changes; if the change matters, we will tell account holders by email.

Paid plans

Plans and what they include are on the pricing page. Checkout isn't open yet, so paid plans are arranged directly with us, and the price, what it includes, and how billing works are agreed before you pay; those purchase terms will sit alongside these.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, Meerkat is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profit or data, or for anything a persona did on a site you pointed it at. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
